Soil removal operation at Lot 106

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake wishes to inform the community that a limited soil removal operation will be occurring in Lot 106 during the week of January 13, 2020.

The soil to be removed contains asbestos pipe fragments. Soil will be brought to a licensed disposal facility outside of Kahnawake. An external consultant will be completing the removal with oversight by the Public Safety and Environment Protection Units.
