Hydro crews working near Parcel-E lands

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake wishes to inform the community that Hydro-Quebec crews will be working near the Parcel E lands at the end of the Old Chateauguay road this morning from 9am-12pm.

The work is part of the utility pole relocation project, which was part of negotiations for the return of the Highway 30 lands.

The utility poles that are currently located on the  Parcel E lands are being relocated closer to the roadway.

Hydro-Quebec and its contractors and partners have been authorized to work in that area until at least March 31, 2020.
