Rising temperatures forecasted this week

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like community members to be vigilant as temperatures are expected to rise this week.

With expected thaw mixed with precipitation, it is advisable to check your home′s sump-pump to verify that it is functioning properly.

With warmer weather also comes the possibility of thinning ice making it dangerous on any frozen bodies of water. Therefore, Public Safety recommends that all motor vehicles and pedestrians refrain from venturing onto the ice, most particularly in the area of Recreation Bay.
