Important update regarding Garbage and Recycling collection

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke�s Waste Management Department wishes to advise the community on its services at this time. Please read the following carefully:
- Weekly garbage pick-up will continue on its normal schedule
- The Minimax Recycling truck will operate as usual
- Compost collection continues on its regular schedule
However, no �Special Collections� will take place until further notice. Residential cardboard collection will be put on hold, with the final Special Collection taking place on Friday, March 20th. Please note that cardboard collection for businesses will continue for the time being.
The Waste Management Department also asks that residents refrain from placing any cardboard in your �big blue bins� at this time so it won�t affect the recycling truck. Any businesses planning a large drop-off of cardboard must contact the office at 450-632-4321 ahead of time (before noon each day).
