COVID-19 Task Force recommends removing and washing clothing upon entering your home

The Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force wishes to advise the community that it is strongly recommending that persons remove and wash their clothing immediately upon re-entering their household as an additional measure to help stop the spread of the virus.

It is also acceptable to dry the clothing at the highest setting for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes, which is believed to be sufficient to kill the virus.

A similar directive has been issued to essential employees; however, the Task Force wished to advise all Kahnawa�kehr�:non to act accordingly, especially in light of the recent confirmation of COVID-19 within the community.

Finally, the Task Force wishes to remind everyone that two of the most effective methods for battling the pandemic is to wash your hands frequently and, most important, STAY HOME unless it is absolutely necessary.
