03/26/2020
The Kahnawą:ke COVID-19 Task Force would like to advise the community that the Kahnawą:ke Environmental Health Workers (who work under the auspices of Kahnawą:ke Shakotiiatakéhnhas Community Services) and the Kahnawą:ke Labor Office have been directed to conduct regular inspections on businesses within the community who have been deemed Essential Services and/or permitted to stay open with restrictions.
It is important that any businesses permitted to remain open/operational take the proper precautions to maintain the health and safety of their employees by adhering to the following:
- They must practice physical distancing (six feet) or work alone
- They must wash hands frequently
- They must clean and disinfect equipment before and after every use
- They must not report for work if they have any symptoms and immediately contact 811 for further instructions
Every and all measures being taken are being put in place to help minimize the spread of the virus within our community and to help those who are most vulnerable.
Please check Kahnawake911 for any updates.
The Kahnawą:ke COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force consists of designated health and safety representatives from Kahnawą:kes service organizations
