Public Service Announcement regarding Cemetery maintenance

The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that it will continue to perform maintenance duties on the various cemeteries during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The work, which includes grass cutting, tree trimming and removal of debris, is done to ensure that the highest level of respect is given to our ancestors at their final resting places.

All physical distancing protocols will be maintained.

Public Works is currently in the process of readying their machinery for this work, which is expected to begin within a week.
