Kahnawake open for commerce only

The Kahnawą:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to advise the public that it has issued a Directive that stipulates that Kahnawą:ke will maintain limited restricted access to the Territory once the community reopens for business this Monday, June 1st.
While commerce for most businesses will begin on this date, please note the following restrictions: - Non-residents will only be allowed onto the Territory for the purposes of trade and commerce
- Non-residents will only have access to the community from the hours of 0:600 to 22:00 (6am to 10pm)
- Clients/customers permitted on the Territory are required to leave IMMEDIATELY after completion of trade and commerce activities
- Gaming establishments, social clubs, bars, restaurants, beauty salons, gymnasiums and massage therapists remain CLOSED at this time
The Kahnawą:ke Peacekeepers will ensure this directive is adhered to and will continue to issue fines to violators.
The Task Force is calling upon community members and business owners to take proper measures to ensure adherence to this directive. Please contact the Peacekeepers if you suspect violations.
