SplashPads undergoing seasonal maintenance

The Client-Based Services Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that a technician from Vortex Aquatic Structures will visit the Orville Standup Memorial Park and Kahnawake Sports Complex SplashPads this Friday, June 5th, to perform routine seasonal maintenance.

Although preparations will be made to use both installations during the summer, the SplashPads will only open upon the approval of safety guidelines and maintenance procedures from the Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Task Force.

"This past month contained some of the hottest days on record for our area," said MacKenzie Whyte, General Manager of Recreation. "Our goal, of course, is to be prepared to open the SplashPads this summer for those who do not own or have access to swimming pools. Once we get the go ahead the kids will have a great place to cool off!"
