Residency Law education sessions continue – Zoom meetings scheduled for Thursday

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to invite Kahnawa’kehró:non to further educational discussions on the Kahnawà:ke Residency Law.
There will be two sessions, conducted online via Zoom, planned for this Thursday, July 16. The first will be at 11am, with the second taking place at 7pm. Each session is scheduled for 90 minutes. These sessions will be open to those who are not currently on the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry who may potentially meet the criteria for Residency under the new Law.
Topics will include:
- Overview of the separation between membership and residency
- Explanations of various categorizations and permits
- How the application process will work
- Open question & answer period
This wishing to participate MUST call 450-638-0500 to register and receive log in information.
For those who don’t have access to Zoom, alternate sessions via telephone or in-person can also be arranged for later dates. When calling, please indicate your preference. Also, please note that social distancing rules will apply for any in-person sessions.
