Rabaska Road Area water and sewer replacement
07/24/2020
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform the Community that a project to replace the water & sewer lines on Rabaska Road began earlier this week and will continue until the end of November 2020. Initially, an announcement was made regarding the initial River Road closure on Monday, July 20th and plans to announce each road closure were to follow. However, to avoid confusion, the MCK is announcing the entire project and will not announce each road closure related to this project.
This project will include replacing waterline & sanitary sewer system, additional drainage lines and a bike path. Upon completion of the previously mentioned works, the road will be resurfaced with new asphalt. Residents in the area may be inconvenienced with temporary loss of water, dust and noise from trucks and equipment, detours and temporary road closures. Proper road signalization will be installed to warn of the construction limits.
All private properties that are affected by the work in this area (e.g. driveways, walkways, hedges and/or fences) will be repaired or replaced prior to the completion of the project.
Shown below is a map of the general area. The shaded area indicates where the works will take place.
Your patience throughout this project is greatly appreciated. and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience. Please contact the Technical Services Office at 450-635-1016 if further information is required.
