Bars and Gaming postponed until further notice

The Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Task Force would like to inform the Community that the August 10^th scheduled re-opening of bars and gaming establishments has been postponed until further notice.

The initial date of August 10^th had always been conditional and subject to re-evaluation as are all re-openings.

The rationale for the decision to postpone is based on current statistics that indicate there is an increase in the weekly average number of new cases in Qu�bec and it is anticipated it will continue to rise. The task force wants to maintain public gatherings at 50 (rather than 250 like Qu�bec) and wants to focus on health and safety for all Kahnawake.

The task force will continue to monitor the overall situation and will adjust measures accordingly.
