The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that a Boil Water Advisory is in effect effective immediately for all residents connected to the Town Water Network. 

Water should be boiled for at least three (3) FULL minutes once it reaches full boil, regardless of the size of the pot being used.

The advisory was issued due to a broken piece of equipment at the Water Filtration Plant that caused the system to automatically shut down as a precautionary measure to prevent any damage to the system, which resulted in low water pressure throughout the network.

This issue is not in any way related to the problems experienced with the Lift Station yesterday.

The Advisory is expected to be lifted tomorrow. The MCK will notify the Community when it is officially lifted.
