The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that the Boil Water Advisory is still in effect for all residents connected to the Town Water Network. 

 

Water should be boiled for at least three (3) FULL minutes once it reaches full boil, regardless of the size of the pot being used.

 

Though the Filtration Plant is back in full operation, the lifting of the Advisory can only take place after two consecutive bacteriological tests are conducted and completed. The first test came back this morning and indicated that there were no issues. The second result is expected tomorrow afternoon, as the test takes approximately 24 hours to incubate. The community will be notified when the Boil Water Advisory is officially lifted.
