MCK offices closed to mourn passing of Grand Chief Norton

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that operations of the MCK will be closed for three days to mourn the passing of Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton, who died on Friday at the age of 70.

While most operations are closed, essential services will remain operational. The main office will remain open only to ensure proper communications during this unprecedented and difficult time.

Additionally, Council of Chiefs are suspending all political activities for the next ten (10) days as a gesture of respect for Grand Chief Norton�s extraordinary career and service to his community.
