Community should be Vigilant re Phone Scam

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers are advising community members that they have received several reports today about unknown callers posing as government employees and attempting to obtain the social insurance numbers of residents.

It cannot be stressed enough to not give any personal information to anyone over the telephone. No government agency carries out operations over the telephone.
