REVISED - Peacekeepers Ethics Committee Seeking Community Members

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake would like to announce that it is looking for five Kanien′kehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke to serve on the Kahnawą:ke Peacekeepers Ethics Committee.
Candidates must be recommended in writing by a Kanien′kehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke and will then be selected by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke. In order to be eligible, candidates must be Kanien′kehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke, at least twenty-one (21) years of age and reside within the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawą:ke. All candidates will be required to sign a waiver to permit a criminal background check. Selected members will be required to meet on a monthly basis as well as attend any other meetings and activities that may be necessary to fulfill its mandate.
Members of the Ethics Committee will be compensated for a loss of income occasioned by services associated with their office or such reasonable expenses or remuneration as the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke determines.
