08/20/2008
The ministère des Transports du Québec and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wish to inform road users of the installation of a new traffic light on Route 132 in Kahnawà:ke in front of the Kahnawà:ke Survival School. Work will take place from August 21st to the beginning of September and will allow for the construction of a new protected left-turn lane to the access to the school in both directions.
During works, there will be one lane closure outside of rush hour periods. There will always be two open lanes on the westbound direction between 5:00am to 10:00am and two open lanes on the eastbound direction between 2:30pm and 8:00pm. Road users will also be able to use the left-turn lane during the work period.
Please take note that the speed limit on the work site will be 50 kilometres per hour.
The ministère des Transports and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to thank road users for their collaboration and their patience during these works.
The ministère des Transports encourages you to be careful, in particular near works sites and suggest to the public to use the Inforoutière line, available at all times at 1-888-355-0511, or #0511 for cell phone users. The public can also visit the Web site www.inforoutiere.qc.ca.
