Task Force Clarifies Directive on Gatherings in the Home for caregivers
10/22/2020
The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to clarify one point in the Directive on Gatherings in the Home, specifically surrounding caregivers.
To support the wellbeing of community members, those providing care or assistance to someone in need are permitted in the home. These include:
• Natural caregivers • Babysitters • Any person(s) who are required to provide support to a family or individual who lives alone
These individuals are deemed essential and are exempt from the Directive on Gatherings in the home, provided they follow all safety guidelines (hygiene, distance and masks) and be limited to one person at a time at any extent possible.
The Task Force wishes to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non of their personal responsibility to follow the measures and guidelines to protect themselves, their family, and fellow community members.
Distance, Frequent Hand Washing and Masks.
