Cannabis Control Law Regulations Feedback Report now available for viewing

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission wishes to inform the community that the Feedback Report for the draft regulations for the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law have been reviewed and analyzed by the Technical Drafting Team and are now available for viewing.
The feedback was compiled during the 30-day review period of the draft regulations that took place from October 8 to November 10, 2020.
The Technical Drafting Committee is now in the process of finalizing the regulations. Once finalized, the regulations will be tabled for enactment.
The Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law was enacted on December 10, 2018 as a means to protect the health and safety of the community, to protect the youth by restricting their access and exposure to cannabis and cannabis by-products, and to deter illicit and illegal activities in relation to cannabis on the Territory. The regulations are a necessary component to the implementation of the law.
