Reminder - Call for Community Ethics Committee Member

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake would like to remind the community that it is looking for (1) one Kanien′keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke to serve on the  Kahnaw�:ke Peacekeepers Ethics Committee. Part of the mandate of the committee is to:

�Consider complaints made by any person against one or more members of the Kahnaw�:ke Peacekeepers and to resolve those complaints using the principles and processes set out in the Kahnaw�:ke Peacekeepers Law, and any regulations derived from the Law.�

Interested Kanien′keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and reside within the Mohawk Territory of. Members will be selected by the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke based on written nominations/recommendations sent to the address below no later than February 18, 2021.

The selected member will be required to meet on a monthly basis as well as attend any other meetings and activities that may be necessary to fulfill its mandate.  Board members will receive an annual honorarium based on established policy for participation.

All candidates will be required to sign a privacy waiver to permit a criminal background check and submit a detailed letter of interest no later than February 18, 2021 addressed to:
