Hydro Tower removal project update

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community of works being carried out on the Hydro-Qu�bec Line 2 Dismantlement project.

Contaminated soil removal, backfilling, and site restoration work is being carried out this week in the area behind Playground Poker and near the Caughnawaga Golf Club. This work will continue in the Clay Mountains area, the SLS Lands, and the North Wall the week of February 22nd.

Additionally, this week, work is taking place in the SLS Lands and the North Wall area to remove the hydro lines across the Seaway and the St. Lawrence River.

People must avoid the areas where work is taking place (including the river and Seaway when the wires are being removed) due to the dangers involved.
