Recycling audit project underway
03/10/2021
The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform the community of a daily recycling audit now underway, which will assist in recycling education.
The audit consists of one or two recycling bins being selected each day, according to the day of collection. Materials will then be sorted accordingly, and feedback will be provided to the community member(s) whose bins are selected.
The recycling audit will help community members better identify items that are recyclable, items that should be put out for special collection, and items that are considered end waste. It will also be used to determine the overall level of the community’s recycling knowledge.
If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Waste Management Department at 450-632-4321.
The Waste Management Department wishes to thank Kahnawa’kehró:non for their participation in this project.
