Resumption of OUTDOOR ONLY private home visitation

The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force (Task Force) wishes to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that it has relaxed certain measures, as a direct response to the improving conditions within the community, and to support mental health and wellness. As of Friday, March 26, 2021, Directive 36.5 -Private Home Visits with a Maximum of 8 People Outdoors:
Directive 36.5 - Private OUTDOOR ONLY Home Visits
- A maximum of eight (8) people
- All COVID-19 Measures of distancing, masking, and hand washing even if all have been vaccinated (due to risks related to spread of variants)
Indoor Visitation – No change
- Maximum of one other household
- All COVID-19 Measures of distancing, masking, and hand washing
Please be reminded that OUTDOOR home visits and increasing the number of contacts increases the risk of transmitting the virus. Please speak to your family about what is the acceptable level of risk you are willing to expose yourself to. It’s a personal responsibility to ensure all measures are followed during private home visitations.
These measures have been put in place to minimize the spread of COVID-19 within the community and to help protect our most vulnerable.
