Spring Clean-Up Challenge during pandemic

The Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management Department is pleased to once again announce a modified Kahnaw�:ke Spring Clean-Up Challenge (the Challenge) that takes into consideration the current pandemic. The Challenge will take place for the entire month of April.

To get involved, select an area your family household wishes to clean and simply post BEFORE & AFTER photos of the area on the Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management Facebook page (@recyclinginkahnawake). You may also email your photos to wastemanagement@mck.ca. Every participant will be entered into a draw to win one of three $50 Shop Kahnawake gift certificates, and two K1037 Radio Bingo packages.

�We would love to have as many people as possible participate � in a manner that respects the challenging times we are in,� said Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management�s Iotshatena:wi Reed. �Even though we are restricted in our movements, we can still safely beautify our community.�

All Challenge participants are asked to please take the waste home and place it curbside for regular Friday pick-up.

Organizers ask that only members of your individual household participate in the clean-up effort and maintain physical distancing from others at all times.
