Indian Day Schools Settlement Advisory

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform Indian Day Schools Settlement (IDSS) claimants that several claims have been reported as �lost in the system.� In the past few weeks, three (3) claimants were advised by the Deloitte Claims Center that their claim was not received.

It is important for all IDSS claimants to call the Deloitte Claims Center at 1-888-221-2898 approximately 6 to 8 weeks after making an individual or estate claim to confirm that the claim has been received and uploaded into the Deloitte database. Should issues arise, the MCK�s IDSS Project Coordinator, Louise Mayo, is advising claimants who wish to receive any assistance in their settlement files to contact her at 514-793-0662 or louise.mayo@mck.ca.

The IDSS claims process was launched in January 2020. While not an MCK initiative, the MCK (through its IDSS Project) is committed to ensuring Kahnawa�kehr�:non are kept up to date on any and all developments in this matter. Information is also available at www.kahnawake.com/indiandayschool. Claims can be made until July 13, 2022.
