Mercier Bridge Truck Traffic Restricted Until Christmas

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform road users, in particular truckers, that the left or right lane will be restricted for trucks in both directions of the Mercier Bridge during the next few weeks. Please note that at all times trucks will have access to one of the two lanes in either direction.

As part of repairs to the connection plates, these truck bans will allow a major portion of the repairs to take place and avoid closing lanes to automobile traffic. As a result, restrictions on heavy vehicles will switch from one lane to another in both directions until Christmas.

All truckers are asked to respect the signage installed on the bridge. Motorists will be less affected but must expect some closures near the holidays. These operations are essential to the continuation of the bridge repair project and the subsequent replacement of its deck.
