2 Candidates Withdraw from Election

The Office of the Electoral Officer wishes to advise the community that Watio Matthew Lazare and Robert Patton Jr. have withdrawn as candidates for Council Chief (Ratitsénhaienhs) in the 2021 Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Election. As such, both Mr. Lazare’s and Mr. Patton’s names will be removed from the ballot.

Their withdrawal leaves 18 candidates for Elected Council Chief. There are five (5) candidates for Grand Chief. The election takes place on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021.
