Dreams Take Flight 2008

Four Kahnawą:ke children are on their way to Walt Disney World, courtesy of Dreams Take Flight.
The children got up very early this morning and boarded a special Air Canada flight, bound for Orlando, Florida. Once there, the kids will spend a fun-filled, action-packed day.
Chief Rhonda Kirby along with several MCK employees joined the children and their families this morning to see them off. The Kahnawą:ke Peacekeepers were also on hand, providing some pre-flight fun and games for kids.
Each year, Dreams Take Flight takes socially, physically and mentally challenged children from across Canada to Disney World. The Montreal chapter of Dreams Take Flight has been providing children with this once-in-a-lifetime trip for the past fourteen years.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke has been involved with the Dreams Take Flight organization since 2004, helping 18 local kids live a dream. Children are selected by KSCS, based on the requirements and standards set by Dreams Take Flight.
