Candidate Withdraws from Election

The Office of the Electoral Officer wishes to advise the community that Michael Diabo has withdrawn as candidate for Council Chief (Ratsénhaienhs) in the 2021 Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Election. As such, Mr. Diabo’s name will be removed from the ballot.

Diabo’s withdrawal leaves 17 candidates for Elected Council Chief. There are five (5) candidates for Grand Chief. The election takes place on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex.
