Mclean Day Schools Settlement Corporation Launch Event August 19

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Indian Days Schools (IDS) Settlement Coordinator wishes to inform the community that the Mclean Day Schools Settlement Corporation will be holding a virtual ceremony on Thursday, August 19, 2021, beginning at 1pm to commemorate both the official launch of their organization and a national engagement process on the Legacy Fund with Survivors of Indian Day Schools.

This event is an opportunity for all Survivors and their families to meet the Legacy Fund Board of Directors, hear about upcoming outreach processes, and learn how they can provide input related to the implementation of the Legacy Fund.

Support and ceremonies will be provided by Elders and mental health counselors, featuring traditional music, drumming, dancing, and reflections from Federal Indian Day School Survivors.
