Holiday Train Public Transportation

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce that the Public Works Department is providing public transportation to the famous Canadian Pacific Railway ‘Holiday Train’ on Wednesday, 26 Kentenhkó:wa/November.

Two buses, driven by Arlene Jacobs and Cindy Kirby, will make routine stops at various locations in the community, beginning at 6 pm. For a detailed listing of pickup locations, visit Kahnawake.com.

The train is expected to arrive at Adirondack Junction at 7pm, with a half-hour show scheduled to begin at 7:15pm. This year, two well-know Canadian artists will perform: Melanie Doane and Wide Mouth Mason’s Shaun Verreault. The train will depart at 8pm.

Once again, community members are being urged to make donations of cash or unwrapped new toys for the Kahnawà:ke Food Basket Committee. All of the proceeds will be distributed to those less fortunate by the Committee.
