08/26/2021
The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform the community that the Minimax Recycling Truck is now back in service. It had been out of commission since Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. It should also be noted that the Minimax Recycling Truck will be out of commission for rust repairs from Tuesday, September 7, 2021, until Friday, September 17, 2021. Please ensure you have your recycling bin completely emptied over the next week. Recyclable materials can also be stored in the blue bin until the truck returns. If you need to put the recycling out for collection, please place materials in a see-through bag and place it at the curb by 7am. Waste Management staff will be using a truck and trailer to collect the recycling overflow. Waste Management would like to take this time to remind the community of acceptable recyclable items: • All plastic containers that include the codes 1-5 and 7 • Plastic bags (please tie together) • All aluminum containers • Tin cans • Glass jars • Glass bottles • All paper products Please contact the Waste Management Department at 450-632-4321 for questions or concerns.
