Important Notice for those who use the Kahnawake Sports Complex

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke wishes to advise the community on matters regarding the Kahnawą:ke Sports Complex in relation to the new developments regarding measures to combat COVID-19.
With the scheduled reopening of the arena to the public this coming Tuesday, the public is advised of the following:
The Kahnawake Sports Complex staff will be required to check the vaccination status of visitors to the arena using a QR code app. This includes coaches, spectators and athletes who are 13-years of age and older.
Only visitors who are adequately protected (2 shots or 1 shot plus prior illness,) will be permitted to enter. The only exceptions are those with a doctor′s note exempting them from the vaccine due to a health issue or children under 13 too young for the vaccine. Photo ID is required.
All minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult NO EXCEPTIONS
The proof of vaccination measures are directed by Kahnawą:ke Public Safety and Kahnawą:ke Public Health, as well as, measures that are implemented by sporting associations to allow teams to participate in their respective leagues.
Refunds can be made to parents who do not wish to participate due to these measures.
The process for entering and exiting the arena will be posted at the facility.
The staff and management of the Kahnawą:ke Sports Complex wish to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this difficult period. Every effort is being made to ensure the health and safety of Kahnawakehró:non, especially the children who are the largest segment of the community that use the facility.
