Cessation on all hunting activities in Tioweroton until further notice

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is advising the community that all hunting activities in Tioweró:ton are HALTED until further notice, effective immediately.

This action is being taken while the Kahnawà:ke Peacekeepers conduct an investigation regarding a serious incident that took place on the Territory earlier today that tragically resulted in a fatality. The Caretakers are asking for the community’s fullest cooperation during this time. The MCK and the Kahnawà:ke Peacekeepers will provide any updates as they become available.
