Landfill Operations Commencing

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke�s Landfill Office wishes to advise the community of ongoing landfill transfer work being carried out within the community. Quick 8 Construction will be completing work at the residence of Mr. Bradley Diabo located on Diabo Rd. The work involves removing topsoil material that has been inspected and approved by KEPO for removal, then transporting the material to a residence on OCR and next to Tootsie�s old store. This work will continue this Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19, weather permitting.

Additionally, the Landfill Authority and KEPO have approved Ali Excavation of Valleyfield, Quebec, to provide landfill to Mr. Diabo�s residence on Diabo Rd. The operations should begin on Monday, September 20, through Friday, September 24 from 7am and 5pm each day. Permits for 6 trucks have been issued which will be displayed on each vehicle. Tickets will be collected for each load delivered. This operation will be monitored by Bruce McComber and should be completed in one week, weather permitting.
