Notice re: Bell Canada bills

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is advising community members to check their bills/statements from Bell Canada.

The MCK has been made aware that some Kahnawa’kehró:non have been charged GST and PST on their monthly phone bills. Some residents who subscribe to Bell’s Internet service have also been charged tax.

“Bell Canada has been made aware of the situation, and we are now working together to try and resolve this issue,” said MCK Tax Specialist John Latour.

If you have been charged tax by Bell Canada for either your phone or Internet service, please contact Mr. Latour at 450-632-7500.

In order to correct this matter you will be required to provide the MCK with your name, phone number and Bell account/client number.
