Route 132 - SLS 12 Sewer Installation

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the Community of the upcoming project to install a Sanitary Sewer Line under the R-132 highway. An outside contractor will be installing the pipe works, scheduled to start on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. The works are expected to be completed Friday, December 3, 2021, weather permitting.

This project will include the installation of a steel casing under the highway. The method used to install the casing will create a loud hammering noise; residents should not be alarmed as this is normal.

Shown below is a map of the general area. The shaded area indicates where the works will take place.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression. In case of inclement weather, works will be moved to the following day(s) when the weather provides for suitable working conditions.
