At the Monday, January 19, 2009 council meeting, Chief and Council appropriated the funds for future use in the following areas:
• $500K KGC - development
• $200K Heavy Equipment replacement

The fines were incurred following revelations of a cheating scandal which occurred on the Ultimate Bet website between 2007 and 2008. Part of the appropriations of funds is intended to demonstrate that the KGC is committed to ensuring that interactive gaming is conducted in a fair, transparent and honest manner for the benefit and enjoyment of all players.
