Feedback for Kahnawake Residency Law and Kanienkehaka of Kahnawake Law extended for one week
02/23/2022
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that an extension of one week has been granted for the two (2) regulations drafted under the Kahnawą:ke Residency Law and (2) regulations drafted under the Kanienkehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke Law (KKL) posted for community feedback. The new deadline is Thursday, March 3rd at 4pm.
The extension was announced due to a technical issue with the Feedback email address, which has now been rectified. We ask that any feedback previously sent to this address be resent to ensure it is received.
The documents to be reviewed can be accessed on the MCK website by clicking here.
Please send feedback on the Regulations by email to feedback@mck.ca; by mail to the MCK at P.O. Box 720, Kahnawą:ke, J0L1B0, c/o Melanie Konwenni Gilbert, General Manager, Office of the Kahnawą:ke Kanienkehį:ka Registry; or by telephone at (450) 638-0500.
Comments from the current feedback period will be compiled and posted in early March, after which the community will have the opportunity to provide further/additional feedback. After a new 30-day review period, all recommendations received will be compiled for review and acceptance by Chief and Council.
