Grand Chief meeting with MRC Roussillon Prefect

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that Oh�n:ton �:iente ne Ratits�nhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer is meeting this afternoon with Christian Ouellet, the Prefect of the MRC Roussillon.

The MRC Roussillon consists of eleven (11) municipalities in the region, including all of Kahnaw�:ke�s neighboring communities.

�I�m looking forward to this initial conversation with the Prefect,� said Sky-Deer. �It will be the first time that I meet Mr. Ouellet. I�m hoping to establish a political and technical relationship, as we have several issues to discuss, including the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis.�

Other agenda items include the Rt-132 �Urban Boulevard� project; Port Expansion; Police Profiling; and Communications.

The meeting is taking place from 2:30 to 4pm via Zoom.
