Executive Summary of Investigation on Fr Lajoie allegations now available

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the Executive Summary of the investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against the late Fr. Leon Lajoie is now available for viewing by clicking here.

The investigation was conducted by Mr. Brian King of the King International Advisory Group, a well-known investigation, intelligence, and enterprise risk management consulting agency. The firm was retained on October 19, 2021, and concluded interviews on February 25, 2022. This independent third-party firm was appointed and funded by the Jesuit Order of Canada.

Mr. King recorded a presentation on the executive summary, which has been made available for broadcast on the Paul Communications community channel and can also be viewed here.

A community vote will be held on March 25 and 26 to determine whether Fr. Lajoie�s remains shall be removed or remain buried on the Territory. The vote is being carried out by an independent firm, PlanIt Consulting & Communications.
