Ensure your sump pump is functioning properly

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to remind the community that with the recent rain combined with the melting of snow, homeowners are being asked to verify that their home′s sump-pump is functioning properly. This is the best way to prevent water infiltration (flooding) and possible foundation damage in your home.

Please note, local organizations/departments DO NOT offer pumping services in case of a flood. It is the homeowner′s responsibility to be prepared.
