The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ), that roadwork in the Ville-Saint-Pierre Interchange and on R-138 west, will take place this weekend, which will have an impact on motorists using the Mercier Bridge in the Kahnawà:ke-bound direction.

The R-138 west access ramp from A-20 east (direction West Island towards Lasalle/Mercier Bridge) will be closed again this weekend for repair work, starting tonight from 11pm to 5am Monday. Motorists will have to detour via the St. Jacques Street exit and use the A-20 west approach.

Additionally, the Clement exit from R-138 west in Lasalle with be closed tonight, from 11:59pm until 9am Saturday, and on Saturday from 9pm until 10am on Sunday. A detour will be in place via the Kahnawà:ke-bound Mercier Bridge.

Please drive with caution and slow down when entering the construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when you see flashing lights.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
