Easter Weekend roadwork to impact access to the Mercier Bridge

04/14/2022

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) that roadwork in the Ville-Saint-Pierre Interchange will take place this Easter weekend, which will have an impact on motorists trying to access the Mercier Bridge in the Kahnawà:ke-bound direction.

The R-138 west access ramp from A-20 west (downtown Montreal towards Lasalle/Mercier Bridge direction) will be closed for repair work, starting tonight (Thursday) from 11:59pm to Tuesday at 5am. Motorists will have to detour via A-20 west to 1st Avenue.

Additionally, A-20 east will be closed between exit #63 (R-138 west/Mercier Bridge) and the next entrance, and the left-hand lane of A-20 west in the Ville-Saint-Pierre Interchange will be partially closed from Thursday 11:59pm until Tuesday at 5am.

Please drive with caution and slow down when entering the construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when you see flashing lights.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
