Public invited to Community Engagement Kiosk this Friday

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non that, once again, several Ratitsénhaienhs will be available to meet community members this Friday in a kiosk-style format at the Golden Age Club from 1pm to 4pm.

Community members are encouraged to bring their questions, comments or suggestions to the Ratitsénhaienhs present. One-on-one discussions are most welcome. Those participating this Friday are:

  • Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer (lead on External Government Relations, and MCK Governance portfolios, plus Education portfolio)
  • Alan John Rice (lead on Community Social Affairs portfolio, plus Environment, Indigenous Rights & Research, and Administrative Affairs portfolios )
  • Tonya Perron (lead on Legislation, and Justice portfolios, plus MCK Governance, Administrative Affairs, and Regulatory Boards portfolios)
  • Ryan Montour (lead on Public Safety, and Regulatory Boards/Commissions & Labor portfolios, plus Infrastructure, Transport & Operations, and Community Social Affairs portfolios)
  • Ross Montour (lead on Environment, and Indigenous Rights & research portfolios, plus External Government relations, Economic Development, and Education portfolios)
  • Jessica Lazare (lead on Heritage portfolio, plus Indigenous Rights & Research, MCK Governance, Legislation, and Justice portfolios)
  • Barton Goodleaf (lead on Health portfolio, plus Land & Territories, Indigenous Rights & Research, Economic Development, and Public Safety portfolios)
  • Arnold Boyer (lead on Infrastructure, Transport & Operations portfolio, plus Public Safety, Health, and Community Social Affairs portfolios)
  • Cody Diabo (lead on Lands & Territories, plus Environment, External Government Relations, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Transport & Operations, and Regulatory Boards portfolios)

The kiosks are community engagement sessions taking place in addition to the return of Seasonal Community Meetings, the first which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 24th at the Moose Lodge. This will be the first Community Meeting since the pandemic was declared in March 2020.
