Ratsenhaienhs Ross Montour in Vancouver to attend Impact Assessment conference

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Rats�nhaienhs Ross Montour is travelling to Vancouver to participate in the International Association for Impact Assessment �IAIA 22� Conference. The conference, being held on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, begins tomorrow (Wednesday) and continues through Saturday.

He will attend due to his role as the Lead in the Indigenous Rights & Research portfolio, which includes the Consultation & Accommodation files.

This year�s conference will examine the area of confidence in impact assessment through effective and improved participation/consultation, with the goal of creating improved processes to support true collaboration, leading to improved outcomes.

Rats�nhaienhs Montour will return and be present for the upcoming Council meeting on Monday, May 9th.
