Rainfall Warning in effect

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for our area.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 millimeters are expected. The amount of rain could possibly reach up to 70 millimeters in thunderstorms.

Heavy rainfall can cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads and highways. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is also possible.

Homeowners are asked to verify that their home′s sump pump is functioning properly and to take any other necessary precautions.
