08/09/2022
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to announce the next step in the creation of a new facility for the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language & Cultural Center, the Turtle Island Theatre, and the community at large.
With the Capital Campaign now underway and several substantial donations to the project confirmed, the MCK is issuing a Request for Proposals (‘RFP’) for the position of Project Manager of the Building of the Cultural Center, Museum, and Theatre. Through this RFP, the MCK will enter into an agreement with a qualified technical project manager experienced in large-scale construction projects to act as the principal technical advisor, committees coordinator, and internal project manager in the construction of the new facility, which will be built on common land on the wooded property adjacent to the Kahnawà:ke Survival School.
The services will be governed by a renewable one-year professional services contract, to be issued once a proposer is selected.
The deadline for Proposals is Tuesday, August 23, 2022. All specifications are available for viewing by clicking here. The point of contact for all submissions and correspondence regarding this RFP is MCK Executive Director Onerahtókha (Karlie) Marquis (who is acting as project manager for the RFP) by email at Karlie.marquis@mck.ca.
