Soil sampling in the Clay Mountains Area

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) wishes to advise the community that soil sampling will be carried out in two locations in the Clay Mountains area (see map below).

The work will include excavating pits with an excavator and soil sample collection. All pits will be restored before the end of each workday.

The work will take place between August 23rd and 25th with the assistance of a local contractor and oversight by the consulting firm Arcadis. A KEPO representative will also be on-site.

Soil samples will be analyzed to inform soil management decisions.

KEPO asks that the community be mindful of machinery in the area and avoid active work zones.
